Randula Uvin Gunasena, a student of D.S. Senanayake College, working
as a Graphic Designer at TNL Radio Network, won the Bronze Medal at the
world graphic design and typographic poster competition held by
Arjowiggins Creative Papers of Paris, France, manufacturers of
Conqueror, and the global premium paper brand, titled ‘Typographic
Games.’ The competition issued a challenge on the theme of sport and on
the phrase “It’s not what you win, but how you conquer it.”
The top 50 designs for the ‘Typographic Games’ was judged by an
international panel of designers in London in May.
Typographer Jean-Francoise Porchez headed the jury of leading
typographers and designers.
Gunasena’s entry was selected to the top 50 and after the judgment by
the international jury, the design was given the Bronze Award.
Global exposure for all the winners will include a special booklet
distributed with an international design magazine and an exhibition in
London. |
