Lankan slicers off to Bangladesh

The eight member Sri Lanka carrom team will leave the island on July
11 to participate in the 16th SAARC Carrom Championships which is
scheduled to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from July 11 to 14. There will
be three men and three women slicers along with a stand by player in
both gender included in the local team.
Under the aegis of the Asian Carrom Confederation, Bangladesh Carrom
Federation host the tournament this year. SAARC countries will compete
in men's/women's singles, men's/women's doubles, mixed doubles and men's
women's team events.
The Sri Lankan contingent: Men’s - Chamil Dharshana Cooray, Dinesh
Nishantha Fernando, Mommad Shefiffdeen and Ajith Chandrasoma (standby)
Women’s - Joseph Roshita, Madushika Kanchanamala, Chalani Lakmali
Liyanage and Yasika Rahubaddha (standby)
