International conference on public health
The 44th Asia Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH)
will be held from October 14 to 17 at the Bandaranaike Memorial
International Conference Hall (BMICH) and Hotel Taj Samudra. It is
hosted by the Colombo University Faculty of Medicine.
The theme of this year's conference is Millenium Development Goals
beyond 2015: The Challenge for Public Health.
Local and international delegates are expected and dissemination of
new research findings with APACH values would be the main outcome.
Submission of individual scientific papers is open for local and
international researchers.
APACPH is an international academic organisation comprising many of
the largest and most influential schools of public health in the Asia
Pacific region and dedicated to improve professional education for
public health.
The APACPH objectives include expanding knowledge, improving skills,
enhancing educational/ training programmes and effective interventions
for their resolution, enhancing the capacity and sustainability of
public health systems and assisting in policy and leadership development
for health.
APACPH hopes to achieve these objectives through respect for
diversity, equity, networking and leadership development.
The APACPH annual conference is held in a major city in the region
every year. The last conference was held in Seoul, South Korea and next
year's conference will be held in Beijing, China. |
