SLCTB collects over Rs 652,335 in raids

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) officials attached to the Sri Lanka Central Transport Board (SLCTB) were able to collect over Rs 652,335 in raids conducted from January 1 to April 30, SIU Director Upali Gunasekara said.

Over 43,401 mobile inspections were carried out in SLCTB buses during this period.

Over 360 major ticket frauds and 1,533 corruptions and irregularities committed by errant conductors were detected. About 1,900 had travelled without valid tickets.
