Rainwater harvesting in Mannar

A rainwater harvesting programme was launched at the Mannar St. Anne's Madya Maha Vidyalayam. Water Supply and Drainage Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, Industries and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen and Northern Province Governor G A Chandrasiri jointly launched the scheme.

This scheme fulfills the drinking water requirement of schoolchildren.

Water Supply and Drainage Ministry Secretary A Abeygunasekara, Water Board Chairman Karunasena Hettiarachchi, General Manager K L L Premanath and others participated.
