Siwanthi leads Lankan team

Commonwealth Youth Games 2011 silver medalist in women’s 400 metres R. M. Siwanthi Kumari Ratnayake will be the captain of the Sri Lanka athletics team at the 15th Asian Junior Athletics Championship. She is a champion athlete, aproductd of St. Joseph’s Girls College, Kegalle.

She will also take the oath during today’s opening ceremony. K.D.A.C. Randeniya who also participated in the last year’s Commonwealth Youth Games, will be the captain of the men’s team.

C. P. Weerasinghe of Vijitha Central College, Dickwella and G. M. Nimesha Siriwardena or Galenbindunuwewa Central College will light the Games torch.
