Police transfers

The Police Department has transferred six police officers including a Chief Inspector and five Inspectors with immediate effect on account of service requirements on the instruction of Inspector General of Police N K Illangakoon.

According to the Police Media Unit, Chief Inspector K Piyasena has been transferred as the Biyagama OIC from the Nugegoda division, Galkiriyagama OIC Inspector S K C S Dayawansa has been transferred as the Mulleriyawa OIC, Mulleriyawa OIC Inspector A M N I Gunasekara has been transferred to the Kelaniya Division and Inspector K V P Deepal has been transferred as the Thanamalwila OIC from the Police Headquarters.

Acting Pulasthigama OIC Inspector H M I W Bandara has been transferred as the Pulasthigama OIC and Wanduramba OIC Inspector

S S W Wimalagunarathne has been transferred as the Nagoda OIC.
