Poson celebrated in Sweden

Sri Lankan's embassy in Sweden, for the first time in its history, took measures to celebrate Poson by strengthening diplomatic ties with the government of Sweden.

Stockholm town's Strandvagen Street, had been fully decorated for Poson and both Amisa Pujas and Prathipaththi Pujas had also been organized by the Sri Lankan embassy.

Under the guidance of Sri Lankan ambassador to Sweden, Oshadhee Alahapperuma, Sri Lankan Buddhists in Sweden organized these religious activities.

The religious activities were conducted by Chief Incumbent of Stockholm Buddhist Centre, Ven Kirindigalle Dhammarathana and Ven Marathugoda Pagnananda Theras.

Parliamentarians of Sweden's government, including Yunus Kwasteth and many other Swedish people participated at the event.
