Summons issued on DIG

Colombo Chief Magistrate Rashmi Singapulli yesterday issued summons on a DIG returnable on June 26, in the case where he is facing allegations of utilising the services of seven civil defence members,including an OIC attached to the Rattota Police, in connection with private construction work between September 2007 and October 2008.

The 15 allegations are under the Bribery and Corruption Act. The Bribery and Corruption Commission prosecuted.
