Plying from Colombo to N-E without permits:

Legal action against 60 private bus owners

The National Transport Commission (NTC) has initiated legal action against owners of 60 private buses deployed on long distance routes from Colombo to the North and East without permits.

The NTC said the 60 buses operated without route permits were detected during raids between May 25 and June 5 in association with the Police Traffic Headquarters by a mobile investigation team attached to the Commission.

Cases have been filed against these bus owners in the Hulftsdorp and Mahara Courts.
