The 2012 edition now makes way to Sri Lanka and to the shores of Paradise Beach at the Mount Lavinia Hotel on June 8. This year’s event will feature popular artistes including Ritte, Mummu, E.sa, Fasy, Unoosha, Barchie, 1 Knight Stand, The Void Arcadium, Furadhan and Varadhaana Beru.

Bodu Beru and local musicians have established a unique atmosphere with their original music at this event, which has drawn musicians and singers from throughout the country. This year the event is said to highlight up and coming artistes that have formulated their own genre of music. “Events as such are great ways of highlighting the much needed entertainment talent in the discipline of arts and culture.

We are privileged to have the Maldives brand at our shores”, Mount Lavinia Hotel GM Anura Dewapura said. The event is organized and managed by Highrise in association with Dhivehi Records, a record label established to support and develop the local artists and local music productions. This unique event is held for the very first time in Sri Lanka and is supported by Mount Lavinia Hotel, the official host.
