Maldivian spikers to take on local boys

The Maldivian National Volleyball will play two exhibition matches in Ratnapura District. The first game will be played on June 9 against the Ratnapura District Volleyball team at Udawalawe while the second will be against Sri Lanka Air Force team on 10th June at Nivithigala.

The Ratnapura District Volleyball Association led by its President Kanchana Jayarathna is organizing the matches to popularize the game of Volleyball in the District. Due to their efforts, Volleyball is becoming increasingly popular in the District.

Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation President, Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera, Technology and Research Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Power and Energy Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara and Member of Parliament Sunny Rohana Kodituwakku are expected to grace the occasion.
