Isipatana in smashing 50-17 win over Science

Isipatana College recorded an easy win of 50 points( five goals and three tries) to 17(a goal and two tries) points when they confront Science College, Mount Lavinia at the Singer Schools segment one 'A' division match played at Longden Place yesterday after leading 24 - 7 at lemons.

Science College opened their account a few minutes after the first whistle with a try by N.K.L.Perera converted by S.G.I.Gomes. But Science College couldn't maintain the rhythm as Isipatana opened scoring with a fine try by Sandun Dias which was converted by Hirantha Perera. S.Sooriyaarachchi scored an unconverted try. Arun Kumar helped with a try converted by Hirantha Perera.Winger Uditha Premathilake also made his contribution to the side with an unconverted try.Isipatana were leading 24 - 7.

In the second half Isipatana made a steady start with a try by S.De Silva. Hirantha Perera made the conversion. Again P.M.Hewage and Hirantha scored a try each.Uditha Premaratne scored his second try while both tries by Hirantha and Uditha were converted by Kavindu De Costa.

The lads from Mount Lavinia scored only 10 points thanks to the tries by S.G.I.Gomes(one) and I.Karunathilake(one) .
