Minister praises ANCL for Aloka Pooja
Tennakoon KULASEKERA
The Mihintala Aloka Pooja conducted by the Associated Newspapers of
Ceylon Ltd (ANCL) for the 50th year in succession this year is a unique
pinkama and a spiritual service which will be recorded in the country's
history in letters of gold, Agrarian Services and Wildlife Minister S M
Chandrasena said. He said the honour and tribute of the public is due to
ANCL and its management and staff for organising a grand pinkama of this
nature.
The minister said thousands of devotees visiting Anuradhapura for
observances will be able to visit the Atamasthanaya and other hallowed
places of worship without any fear or suspicion as President Mahinda
Rajapaksa has restored peace throughout the country by eradicating the
terrorist menace. |
