Special Poson train service

A round the clock free train service for Poson pilgrims will be conducted by the Sri Lanka Railways between Anuradhapura and Mihintale from June 3 to 6 under a programme sponsored by a leading private sector institution said Sri Lanka Railways Director, (Planning) Vijaya Samarasinghe in a press release.

He said this free service is operated on a directive issued by Transport Minister Kumara Welgama and Railways General Manager B A P Ariyaratne.

The Railways has also arranged a special programme in Anuradhapura to mark Poson. It will include a Poson Bhakti Gee recital on June 3 and 4 at 7 pm at the Anuradhapura Railway Complex organized by the Railway Security Service.
