Southern soul food promotion at Colombo Fort Café

Harpo's Colombo Fort Café continues to offer unique food promotions as its monthly offer in keeping with its Euro Med Fusion food concept.

Southern Soul Food is a unique blend of European, African and Native American foods and cooking techniques and range from Creole to Cajun flavours of New Orleans, to the down home tastes of soul food, with the unique blend of rice and seafood that makes it so delicious. Soul is a common word defining Afro American culture and this makes the Native American culture the base of American South cuisine. From this has evolved the ingredients, the cooking methods and flavours that is featured in Southern Soul Food.

The menu on offer at Colombo Fort Café include Shrimp Po'Boy (fresh baked baguette stuffed with Buttermilk Battered Shrimp), BBQ pulled pork sandwich with pickled onions and beetroot, Good 'ol southern burger and fries, New Orleans shrimp, Okra and tomato sauté, Grilled pork chops with chunky sausage BBQ sauce and Southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy.
