Northern Italian regional cuisine
The Bay Leaf restaurant, situated in the grand colonial mansion
offers fine Italian cuisine for all to enjoy. Along with its extensive
regular menu it offers highlights of Northern Italian regional cuisine
for its patrons from May 15 to the 31.
The cuisine in Northern Italy differs from the rest with less Pasta
and more focus on, giving way to polenta and risotto dishes. Also beef,
veal, and pork are the meats of choice along with lamb. Cooking style
ranges from boiling and frying to stewing and using wine and herbs for
flavour. This brings about extraordinary flavour and elegance to the
dish.
The Bay Leaf features Linguine alla Vongole (linguine pasta tossed
with garlic, chili, white wine, parsley and fresh clams), Grigliata
gamberi e pomodore con riso pilaf (grilled shrimp and tomatoes with rice
pilaf ), Fusilli con spade e Malenzane (marinated grilled sword fish
served with fusilli, tomato and egg plant) and Salmone con salsa all
vodka (pan-fried fresh salmon with cream saffron and dash of vodka) as
its special on offer for May.
The Retro Bar features a fine selection of wines and premium
beverages and the dessert selection on offer will give ending to a fine
