Trinity go out favourites against Thomians

Trinity College will go out favourites to retain the Canon R S de Saram Challenge Trophy when they take on St Thomas College, Mount Lavinia in their traditional rugby clash to be played at Trinity College Rugby Stadium at Pallekele today (Friday) 4.30 p.m.

Hemaka Amarasuriya who has done a lot in his capacity as the Chairman of Singer Sri Lanka Ltd for the construction of Trinity College Rugby Stadium will be the Chief Guest.

Last year Trinity College ran riot to score a 75-6 win over the Thomians which is a record for the series. This year the Thomians playing in the lower division of Schools Division one rugby will find it hand to stop the marauding lions who have so far chalked up wins over Science College and St Anthony's College.

The Thomians have beaten St Sylveters College this season.
