Murder scene CD to be handed over to Moratuwa University

The CD containing the scene of murder of a newly married woman at a leading hotel in Kollupitiya was ordered to be submitted for scrutiny to the Moratuwa University at the non- summary inquiry before Fort magistrate Kanishka Wijeratne yesterday. Sudharshani Shashikala Canagasabey, the newly married female employee of London Metropolitan Police, UK was on honeymoon in Sri Lanka.

She was found dead with neck injuries in the room of a leading hotel in Kollupitiya early this year. The magistrate ordered the suspect, the deceased's husband to be re- remanded until May 17. Police informed that the psychiatrist's report has not yet been submitted.

The suspect was taken into custody from his brother's house. Investigations are continuing.
