Jessica Simpson welcomes baby Maxwell

Welcoming a precious someone into her life, Jessica Simpson has given birth to her first child!

The 'Fashion Star' mentor checked into an undisclosed Los Angeles medical facility early morning of May 1, and now she and fiance Eric Johnson are the proud parents of a baby girl named Maxwell Drew Johnson. With family members including Simpson's mother Tina, sister Ashlee, as well as Eric's parents on hand for the childbirth process, Maxwell arrived weighing in at a whopping 9 lbs, 13 oz. while her middle name of Drew happens to be Jessica's mom's middle name, as well. Clearly excited about her bundle of joy, Jess recently said of her motherly role, "Creating a family is the best thing I've done in my life.
