Clarence the Legend

Following the success of Clarence unplugged with Marians , DK promotions recently released their second DVD production ‘Clarence the Legend, a musical tribute concert staged to commemorate the 14th death anniversary of the late Clarence Wijewardena.

The DVD, which is a must for Clarence fans, features some of the very popular songs such as Kimada Nawe, Gamen Liumak, Deleepa, Amma, Sandak basagiya, Sihina Lowak, Sihina genena, Kandasuriduni, Moratuwa and more. It also features songs composed by Clarence such as Ruwata Ruwe, Sigiri Landune, Duwa Roshi, Bethlehem Pure, Ada We Irudina, Ma Adare Nangiye, Edha Ra Guwan Totupale , Gana Andure, Okada Wela and many more.

Those songs have been performed by Lankika Perera, Winslow 6, Ranil Mallawaarachchi, Anil Barathi, Lalith Ponnaperuma, Rukshan Perera, Angeline Gunathilake ,Vernon Perera and others.

The DVD also carries some rare live footages of Clarence from the USA concert he did in 1992.

According to DK promotions CEO Damayantha Kuruppu, a complimentary CD of Clarence tribute audio CD is issued which is limited only for the sale of the first 500 DVD’s.
