Mahamaya Girls’ School chess champions

Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy under 8 chess team won the all island chess tournament held at the Nugawela Central College hall recently. This tournament was organized by the Future Stars Chess Academy, Kandy. 17 teams participated in the under 8 age group and Mahamaya secured the 1st place collecting 17 points. Runners-up were Master Mind Chess Club, Kandy, collecting 16 points. 3rd place was won by Vijaya College, Matale chess team.
