Tennekoon, the new National Police Commission Secretary
T M K B Tennekoon has been appointed as the new National Police
Commission Secretary with effect from April 23. Tennekoon is a Senior
Special Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service.

He has served as an Additional Secretary to the Technology and
Research Ministry before this appointment.
He also served as the Sri Lanka Institute of Development
Administration (SLIDA) Director and has held several other top ranking
posts in numerous public institutions.
Tennekoon is an Honours Graduate in Public Finance of the University
of Colombo and MSC holder in Economics of the University of New England,
Australia.
He is also a Law graduate of the Open University and Attorney-at-Law
of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka.
Currently, he is preparing for his PhD, in Griffith University in
Australia. |
