Clarke keeps lid on great Aussie expectations
Michael Clarke celebrated a year in charge of
Australia with a 75-run victory over West Indies in the third and
final Test, but insisted his team is far from the finished article.
Since succeeding Ricky Ponting as skipper, Clarke has built an
impressive record with nine wins, three draws and just two defeats
in 14 Tests.

Royal College warded off a fierce late challenge
by Vidyartha College before posting a 38 points (4 goals, 2 tries)
to 29 (4 tries, 2 penalties, 1 drop goal) victory in their schools
under 19 A Division rugby tournament match played at Nittawela
yesterday. At lemons Royal College led 24-8.

Dutch qualifier Bertens wins Fes title
Dutch qualifier Kiki Bertens, the world number
149 playing in only her second WTA main draw, beat Spain's Laura
Pous-Tio 7-5, 6-0 to win the Fes Grand Prix claycourt title on
Saturday. Before this week 21-year-old Bertens had only played one
WTA main draw, at her home event in 's-Hertogenbosch last year where
she lost in the first round.
