President, Abbas meeting today

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will meet President Mahinda Rajapaksa today.

The Palestinian leader arrived in Sri Lanka on a three day official visit yesterday on President Mahinda Rajapaksa’a invitation.

Sri Lanka and Palestine will sign agreements to improve bilateral relations today following discussions between the two Presidents.

The Palestinian President is accompanied by a delegation of Palestinian officials. The Palestinian leader and his delegation are also scheduled to meet External Affairs Minister Prof G L Peiris. He will leave for the Maldives tomorrow on a two day official visit.
