OSC with Pirates of the Curry Bean

The Overseas School of Colombo (OSC) presented Pirates of the Curry
Bean recently at their school auditorium.
Pirates of the Curry Bean'is about a crew of pirates who steal a
treasure map from the Periwinkle family. They also kidnap the Mum
'Pearl' then set sail on their ship 'The Curry Bean.'Pearl's children
then join some sailors on a ship called 'The Crunchy Frog' in a bid to
rescue their Mum. They all land on Lumbago Island where the treasure is
discovered.
The production team was made up of grade five students and teacher
and parent mentors, who worked collaboratively throughout the production
process. Every primary class was fully involved in designing the
posters, t-shirts and costumes, as well as rehearsing their dances and
songs.
The musical was performed by the entire Primary School, involving
almost 200 children.
It was a fun filled production, full of music, dance and heart
warming dramatic performances by the Primary School children at OSC.
With over 43 nationalities in the student body, OSC is Sri Lanka's truly
international school since 1957. |
