Women's cricket today and tomorrow

Inter-Provinces Women's Cricket (leather ball) tournament for the Bandula Gunawardana Challenge Trophy, organized by the Cricket Association of Maharagama Central College will be held on today and tomorrow at Maharagama Central College grounds.

Gothami Balika (Colombo), Sumana Balika (Ratnapura), Mahamaya Balika (Kandy), Uva Pelwatta Maha Vidyalaya (Uva), Wijayakatupotha Vidyalaya (Chilaw) and Mannar District team (East) are the schools take part at the tourney.

The champions will receive the Bandula Gunawardena Challenge Trophy 2012 and a cash prize.

The all-round player, batswoman and the best bowler, also will be rewarded.

The trophy presentation ceremony of the tourney will be held tomorrow at 4 pm under the patronage of the Education Minister Bandula Gunawardana.

The Sports Minister of the Western Province Upali Kodikara, the UC Chairperson of Maharagama Kanthi Kodikara and Principals of the participating schools also will grace the occasion.
