They seek public help
Sriyani Chandralatha Vidanapathirana of Matara,
Palatuwa is suffering from arthritis.
Her three sisters who are also affected by a nervous disability, are
bed ridden. Sriyani who is in a wheelchair gifted by her neighbours says
that she has been recommended an urgent knee surgery which is estimated
to cost over Rs 300,000.
Sriyani says she is not in a position to foot this bill and seeks
public assistance to expedite the surgery.

Lasitha Fernando,51, of 141, Third Step, Badowita, Mount Lavinia is
suffering from a coronary artery disease and has been recommended an
urgent surgery by senior consultant cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Vivek
Gupta.
The estimated cost of the surgery and post surgery treatment is Rs
495,000.
Fernando says she is not in a position to foot this bill and seeks
public help.
