The Annual Radella Speed Hill Climb organized by the Sri Lanka
Association for Racing Drivers and Riders (SLARDAR) which was scheduled
to be held at the Radella short cut this Saturday (April 7) will not
come off.
The President of the SLARDAR Mahes Gammanpila told the Daily News
that they have been endeavouring their best to conduct this Major racing
event, but the condition of the road in the Carbeck Division of Somerset
Group where this stretch of public road lies is not in a proper
condition to conduct this hill climb.
He confirmed that entries have been accepted and they hope to conduct
this event during the Nuwara Eliya Mini Season in September this year.
More details will be released later. |
