Trinity enter semis with 21 run win

Trinity College Kandy entered the semi finals of the Dialog Youth
Under 19 Twenty20 Championship when they beat St. Benedict's College by
21 runs at the Twenty20 quarter final match played at CCC Grounds
yesterday.
Taking first lease of the wicket Trinity College scored 138 for nine
in 20 overs with the help of Ron Chandraguptha who scored 40 runs in 29
balls including three hits to the ropes and one over it. Rajitha
Jayathunga also contributed to the side with 32 runs. Right arm medium
pacee Chandana Jayasanka (three for 11) and right arm off spinner Dilan
Angelo (three for 23) were the bowlers who restricted the Trinitians.
In reply, St.Benedict's side scored 117 runs in 18.4 overs. Sameera
Sandamal was the most successful among the Benedictine batsmen with 43
runs including four boundaries.
Janishka Premasinghe (three for 20) and Lakshan Jayasinghe (three for
11) were the most impressive among the Trinitian bowlers.
