Industrial estate abandoned
The Bata Atha industrial estate in Hungama is abandoned, sources
said.
Set up about 10 years ago, it has a land extent of 200 acres and has
facilities to set up 24 industrial ventures.
There are only six industrial ventures in operation in the estate.
The buildings set up to start more industries is the scene of an
overgrown shrub jungle.
Shirdi Baba pooja and bhajans
Dhuni pooja and bhajan kirtan organised by the Bhagawan Sri Sathya
Sai Central Trust and Sh Vijay Mangai, the chairman of the Sri Sai
Prerna Trust, New Delhi will be held at Sai Mandhir, Barnes Place,
Colombo 7 on April 14 from 5.30pm.
Leading Bhajan singers and gurus will conduct the Bhajan programme.
Dhuni pooja - 5.30am, aarati - 7am, holy bath - 7.30am, bhajans - 9am
to noon, aarati- noon to 12.30pm.
The evening bhajan programme will be held at the Ramakrishna Mission
Hall from 5pm to 9.30pm under the patronage of Minister S Thondaman.
The programme is organised by Sai Leela Times of Ghaziabad, India.
Entrance is free.
AGM
The annual general meeting of Sri Jayawardanapura Maha Vidyalaya
(former Christian College, Kotte) Old Boys Association will be held on
April 8 at 4.30pm at the college hall.
Public lecture
The Royal Asiatic Society of Sri Lanka has organised it's monthly
public lecture on Sri Lanka after Geneva in the Shadow of Seeming Giants
by H L D Mahindapala (World Alliance for Peace in Sri Lanka). The
lecture will be held on April 10 at The Mahaweli Centre Auditorium, 96,
Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo 7. The lecture is open to all.
