Disciplinary inquiry against CID officer

A disciplinary inquiry is to be held against the CID officer who failed to appear in court on April 4 in connection with the Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra murder case, Police Media Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana said. The officer was scheduled to be present in court to provide a report on MP Duminda Silva's whereabouts.

"IGP N K Illangakoon has ordered an investigation and for disciplinary action considering the facts after the conclusion of the inquiry," the Police Spokesman said.
