Rs 15,000 m for One Project for One Village
Rs 82 m for Beruwala:

The government has allocated over Rs 15,000 million on Eka Gamakata
Eka Wedak (One Project for One Village) programme under the purview of
the Divi Neguma programme.
According to this programme, each Grama Sewa Division will receive Rs
one million.
The Beruwala electorate had received Rs 82 million under this
programme and all measures are in place to launch 82 development
projects in 82 Grama Sewa Divisions in the electorate, Fisheries and
Aquatic Resources Development Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne said.
The minister was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the
development programme in Beruwala.
He inaugurated the construction activities of a playground in
Moragalla, Hettimulla Grama Sewa Division after the inauguration of the
One Project for One Village programme.
"We suffered a lot in the past three decades due to war. But now that
situation had changed. Currently, we can development across the country,
especially in the North and East provinces.
"There is a huge development process in every field and all
development projects which have been initiated in the fisheries sector
are to be completed by the end of next year," Minister Senaratne said.
Provincial Council Members Piyal Nishantha, M Amjard, Beruwala Mayor
Milfar Kafoor, Beruwala Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Prasanna Sanjeewa,
Secretary Dhammika Rajapaksha and Coordinating Secretary Sri Lal
Munasinghe were also participated. |
