One to one meetings with tour operators at Expo, a success

Sri Lanka Tourism witnessed one to one meetings between Sri Lankan and foreign tour operators achieving the expected goals.

These meetings provided excellent opportunities to local travel agents to cooperate with their international counterparts and thereby to develop and promote products. A number of local travel agents participated in these meetings, representing local private agent companies.

They have performed some remarkable presentations on tourism products, for more than 3 hours, with the ambition of promoting Sri Lanka as a destination.

Commenting on 'one to one meetings', local tour operators said that it was an ‘ideal’ opportunity to develop business via Expo 2012 as it provides a very good exposure to the international tourism industry.

Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau along with the EDB took steps to facilitate 55 foreign tour operators to participate in Expo 2012.

These foreign tour operators arrived from many countries including USA, UK, India, China, South Korea ,France, Malaysia and many other East Asian nations. SLTPB plans to organize many other events of this nature in the future.
