National Museum theft: CID gathers forensic evidence

Criminal Investigation Department has gathered scientific evidence to
arrest the suspects in the National Museum theft.
Police Spokesman SP Ajith Rohana yesterday said the Police have
recorded 30 statements regarding the case so far. No suspects have been
arrested so far.
Investigations will continue based on forensic findings and reports
submitted by Ragama Medical College's Molecular Unit on the goods found
at the crime scene.
The thieves had removed 10 gold plated swords, 93 gold coins, 18
silver coins, top end of a walking stick crested with gems used by
Nugawela Asdhikaram, a gold waist belt and a silver sword.
