President Mahinda Rajapaksa
inaugurates reconstruction of Wevita Wewa in Bandaragama at
the launch of the Eka Gamakata Eka Wedak - development
projects for all villages programme at Bandaragama. The
programme was simultaneously launched in all Grama Seva
divisions (over 14,000) in the country yesterday.
Development projects will be carried out in all villages for
the benefit of people with Rs one million allocated for each
project. Ministers Basil Rajapaksa, Ratnasiri Wickremenayake,
Bandula Gunewardene, Rohitha Abeygunewardene, Reginald
Cooray, Chief Minister Prasanna Ranatunge, Janaka Bandara
MP, members of the clergy, teachers and students were

Veteran photographer and Presidential
Director of Photography Sudath Silva who had the privilege
of serving four Executive Presidents as the Chief
Presidential photographer is restaging his photographic
exhibition titled Janapathi Seyaru – Rajatha Dekma –
Chayarupa Pelahera in response to many public requests. Here
Silva explains to Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa about the
exhibits. Janapathi Seyaru – Rajatha Dekma – Chayarupa
Pelahera exhibition which opened at Kotte Ananda Sastralaya
will be held until tomorrow. It will be open to the public
today and tomorrow. |

Industry and Commerce Minister Rishad
Bathiudeen is received by Qatar Emir Sheikh Hamad bin
Khalifa Al Thani following an audience on Wednesday.
Minister Bathiudeen met Sheikh Hamad at Emiri Diwan Office
in Doha as a special envoy of President Mahinda Rajapaksa
and delivered a message concerning bilateral cooperation and
matters of mutual concern. |
