Six thousand ‘net houses’

The Economic Development Ministry will provide 6,000 “net houses” to create nurseries to produce saplings and seeds for the market under the Divi Neguma programme, Economic Development Ministry Additional Secretary RRAK Ranawaka said.

As a self employment programme the Economic Development Ministry had provided 3,000 net houses under last years Divi Neguma Programme, said.

“The Economic Development Ministry is going to introduce this new method to those who wish to earn an extra income through growing and providing saplings and seeds.

Additional Secretary Ranawaka further said that, anybody who wishes to join the project will be supported in many ways by the ministry, by providing technology and advise”, he said.
