The need to expose Western canards

The Country Report on Terrorism collated by the State Department of the US includes critical information that; * the LTTE is regrouping in India * the LTTE international network of collecting funds is still functioning in Western Bases, * funds collected are used for procurement of arms.

This is a very dangerous revelation and Robert O’Blake Jr, the US Asst Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs would have informed our government of the information collated by his Department in 2010 and 2011. This should be viewed very seriously by the Sri Lanka government.

The LTTE with the assistance of the Western countries is planning to create a situation where very soon we will find that another Prabhakaran has emerged. There are several deadly terrorists who fled the country in the last stages.

Most countries and particularly the Western powers are jealous that we have wiped out terrorism, while they are still struggling to contain it, let alone wiping it out completely. The West is going through difficult times regarding their finances, and therefore controlling weapons sales eats into their income. The major weapon manufacturers are the Western countries.

Legal procedure

As regards Channel 4, the footage ‘Sri Lanka Killing Fields’ could well be treatment meted out to our Forces and the Tamil civilians, for being traitors to the LTTE by the ‘LTTE cadre dressed in army uniform’. This could have been filmed by them and stored in their archives.

* The LTTE diaspora and the Western Powers allege that 40,000 innocent Tamils were killed in the last three weeks of the war that is in the month of May 2009. The Western powers influenced by the LTTE diaspora took Sri Lanka before the HR Council in Geneva in Sept/Oct 2009, that is after four or five months of the end of the war. If they were in possession of this Channel 4 video, why did they not produce it then; after four or five months after the war? Legal procedure in any democratic country would confirm, that the delay in presenting material is disastrous, as it is tantamount to an afterthought. Only fools will believe that this is a genuine video, shot during the last stages of the war. Sri Lanka was exonerated by the HR Council in Sept/Oct 2009, because the evidence was not cogent and compelling. Therefore it is obvious that this video of Channel 4, is a fake.

* A well known and accepted principle in Law in democratic countries is 'Autrefois Acqui'. This means, once exonerated, one cannot agitate and re-agitate. According to the Western powers (acting at the behest of the LTTE Diaspora), 40,000 innocents have been killed within last three weeks of the war, that is in the month of May 2009. It is not 4 people or 40 people or 400 people or 4,000 people, but 40,000 people. Is it humanly possible to make 40,000 bodies vanish into thin air? Where is the evidence, where are the graves, where are the bones, where are the incinerators? Hitler took four years to kill so many Jews. He built over 15 concentration camps such as Dachau, Austwitz, Buchenwald, Spandau, Treblinka etc installing incinerators operated by gas. There were bones and other material which no one could get rid of. The Allies who set up the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal appointed Justice Jackson of the US and Sir David Maxwell Fyfe - Attorney General of UK - as the chief prosecutors. They proved with mathematical precision that Hitler's squads had murdered innocent Jews who were pulled out of their Ghettoes, kept in concentration camps and gassed to death. The only crime they committed for such treatment was being born JEWS.

* There is no denying even by the Western powers that 300,000 Tamil lives were saved by the SL Forces, in perhaps the world's biggest humanitarian operation. The Forces sacrificed their own lives to save the Tamils who were escaping from the clutches of the LTTE. They were starved by the LTTE of food and water, and forcibly moved from place to place, to escape the advancing SL Forces. These Tamils were kept at gunpoint as a buffer and human shield to protect the LTTE. While the LTTE guns were focused on them, some Tamils dared to escape.

Some did manage to escape and run over to the side of the Forces, while others could not, being shot and killed by the LTTE while fleeing. Some LTTE came out with bombs strapped on their bodies, pretending to surrender but were actually suicide bombers, detonating the bombs to destroy the Forces.

Western powers

The Western politicians - even if they are intellectual mediocrities, must strain their brains and ask themselves the question - will Three Hundred Thousand refugees run to the military for protection if 40,000 of their people were killed by the Forces? Even a moron, a nincompoop or an idiot will not believe these fanciful tall stories.

The Western powers need not be guided by any corrupt people to ascertain the truth. They had their own military representative who was present and collated all the evidence during the last stages of the war. He was none other than the US embassy's own Defence Attache, Lt Col Lawrence Smith, a fearless and impartial military officer.

These are his very words, "I have been the Defence Attache here at the US embassy since June 2008. Regarding the various versions of events that came out in the final hours and days of the conflict, from what I was privileged to SEE and HEAR, the offers for surrender that I am aware seemed to come from the mouthpieces of the LTTE's Nadesan, KP - people who weren't and never had really demonstrated any control over the leadership or the combat power of the LTTE. So their offers were a bit suspect anyway, and they tended to vary in content hour by hour, day by day. I think we need to examine the credibility of the offers before we leap to conclusions that such offers were in fact real. I think the same is true for the version of events". He further said, " Its not so uncommon in combat operations in the fog of war as we all got our second, third and fourth hand from various commanders at various levels that the stories don't all seem to match up. But I can say that the version presented at this seminar is what I heard as I was here during that time".

Fabricated material

Lt Col Smith was present at a seminar organized by the Defence Ministry where the Military Commanders, foreign diplomats and other dignitaries were present.

He further added, “I think I had better leave it at that, before I get into trouble". No sooner Lt Col Lawrence Smith the US embassy's own Defence Attache made this bold and truthful statement, giving the lie to the position propagated by their own government, the US State Department disassociated itself from him. This clearly shows that the US wants to hide the truth, and put Sri Lanka in the dock on false and fabricated material.

The Western powers are trying to instill the idea in developing countries and warn them that "friendship with West can be revoltingly rewarding while enmity could be revealingly reviling".

Syria kicked the West and when they attempted in the Security Council to clamp down sanctions they had to suffer indignity, when China and Russia humiliated the West by using their veto powers. Now Ban ki-Moon and Hillary Clinton are licking their wounds.

We have to expose the Western powers. We have nothing more to lose. Only Tamara Kunanayagam has told the Western powers where to get off and that they are hardly the people to be talking about Human Rights when their Human Rights record stinks!

This is the tough language the Western Powers understand. The more we are meek and humble the more they will attempt to bash us and bully us.
