Special New Year bus service from April 4

Two thousand five hundred buses will be deployed by the National
Transport Commission (NTC) during the forthcoming Sinhala and Tamil New
Year season for the benefit of passengers travelling to their villages.
National Transport Commission (NTC) Chairman Roshan Gunawardene said
that they will launch special bus services from Bastian Mawatha and
Gunasinghapura in Colombo from April 4 to April 22 to various parts of
the country to help people get home for the New Year without any
inconvenience.
The same service will be available for commuters returning to Colombo
after the New Year.These services will be coordinated by the provincial
transport authorities ," he said.
This special bus service will operate as a semi-luxury bus service
and the fare per passenger is one and a half times more than the normal
bus fare.
