Four arrested in monk murders
The Police have arrested four suspects in
connection with the murder of two Buddhist monks attached to the
Kotte Rajamaha Viharaya, Ven. Pitigala Jinasiri Thera and
Borelasgamuwe Gunarathana thera are the two monks of the Kotte
Rajamaha Viharaya who were stabbed to death inside the temple
premises on Tuesday night.

Police heroes remembered
Heroes of the Police Department who made supreme
sacrifices on behalf of the motherland were commemorated. The 148th
National Police Memorial Day celebrations were held under the
patronage of Inspector General of Police N.K.Illangakoon at the
Police Field Force Headquarters, Bambalapitiya, yesterday.
