Lagodan receives major accolade

Lagodan (Pvt) Ltd received major accolade when they were awarded ‘Excellence Award for 2009 and 2010 from the Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare and the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment.

Lagodan is one of the pioneers in foreign employment in Sri Lanka with over 35 years of service. They have been sending migrant workers to the Middle East and world over without charging any money from them.

To date Lagodan (Pvt) Ltd., has sent over 87,000 migrant workers to the Middle East and world over.

The present Chairman, L.A.Ranjith Nihal Perera of Lagodan (Pvt) Ltd., has ambitious plans and is targeting to send 1,750 migrant workers to the Middle East and world over this year.

According to Ranjith Perera of Lagodan (Pvt) Ltd., in 2011 they had has sent 807 migrant workers to the Middle East and world over which is a good achievement from a pioneering foreign employment comp any as Lagodan (Pvt) Ltd., and he assured that he will definitely in the year 2013 will work hard to receive Five Star Excellency Award from the Government.

They have sent 6,408 migrant t workers from the year 2007 to 2011. Ranjith Perera further stated that they have earned the most wanted foreign exchange to the national econ0omy from the year 2007 to 2011 in respectively Agency Fees, Air Fare and Advertising reimbursement.

Lagodan has on-going contracts (for over two decades) with some of the largest internationally reputed multi billion dollar companies such as Saudiaramco, Sceco, Northrof, Kelloggs, Mobil Oil, AMI Hospitals, Samref, LM Ericssons, Philipp Holzmann, Held & Franckie, Qatar General Petroleum Corporation, Almaria Company Ltd, and Qatar Telecom (Q-Tel). Lagodan has recruited and supplied over 34,000 Sri Lankans to organizations in 31 countries in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Far East and Australia.

Over the years Lagodan has striven to improve its methods and systems for the recruitment of quality manpower. Today the company has perfected means for locating, screening, shortlisting, trade testing, selecting, processing and mobilizing recruits with speed and efficiency while tailoring its range of recruitment services to meet the specific needs of its clients.

The company employs a highly dedicated, motivated and experienced staff to fulfill recruiting assignment of any size and nature and is well equipped with the latest office automation and communication facilities.

Their in-house data bank contains over 20,000 pre-screened and shortlisted CV's of prospective candidates meeting the standard job specifications of various categories.

Lagodan has a specialized panel of highly qualified and experienced professionals for pre-screening and short-listing suitable candidates for professional and technical categories.

To facilitate the conduct of interviews by Clients, Lagodan is fully equipped to provide all necessary support services such as secretarial, internal transport, trade testing, documentation for smooth processing and mobilisation of selected recruits.

Selected candidates are medically examined by Western qualified doctors who report on their physical and mental fitness prior to being processed for travel to their foreign destinations.
