First innings win for Kegalu Vidyalaya

Kegalu Vidyalaya gained a first innings win over S de S Jayasinghe College, Dehiwala in their inter-school cricket match concluded at the Kegalle Esplanade yesterday. Heavy rain shortly after tea resulted in the match being called off around 3.45 pm.

The highlight of the second day's play was a fine knock of 82 not out by Shan Chaturanga which was studded with 16 fours compiled off 106 balls.

This knock helped Kegalu Vidyalaya to score 141 for 5 as otherwise they would have been in some sort of a trouble. He has also passed 1,000 runs for the season.
