Federer advances at Indian Wells

Third seed Roger Federer defeated wild card Denis Kudla 6-4, 6-1 in the second round of the ATP/WTA Indian Wells tournament on Sunday. Federer hammered eight aces and won 79 percent of his first serve points in the 57 minute night match on centre court.

Federer advances to the third round where he will face Canadian Milos Raonic, who beat Carlos Berlocq in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.
