Four cycle races in Trincomalee

Four cycle races are being organized by the Eastern Provincial Department of Sports, to be held in Trincomalee on April 7, 2012.

Prospective competitors have to race against a deadline of March 10, 2012 in sending in their applications to the Director of the Department, which is in Trincomalee.

They may participate in the racing model bicycle, race for men, the same bicycle for women, the standard model bicycle race for men and the same for women by picking one and informing about it through an application to the Director.

Application forms can be obtained from the sports officers in Ampara, Batticaloa and Trincomalee or from the Cycling Federation of Sri Lanka.

For a training tour, riders from Trincomalee to Batticaloa (which is a distance of 140 kilometres) or from Kalmunai to Batticaloa (40 kilometres).

This event is titled the ‘Navodayaka Asiriya’ Cycle Tour.
