Sebs win annual encounter

St. Sebastian’s College beat Prince of Wales’ College by 54 runs in their inter-school 27th annual limited overs cricket match worked off at Tyronne Fernando Stadium Moratuwa. Batting first St. Sebastian’s scored 275 for 8 in their alloted fifty overs with Sanitha de Mel and Anushka Perera scoring 78 runs each. Hashan Fernando took 4 for 67 for Cambrians.

In reply Cambrians were all out for 221 runs with Kusal Mendis scoring 93 runs and Crishen Aponsu contributing 30 runs. Nimesh Fernando took 3 for 48 for Sebs. Now the tally stands at Sebs 13, Cambrians 12 and 02 abandoned.
