Sampath Bank introduces 3i Infotech’s AML Software

With the successful implementation of 3i Infotech's AMLock Anti Money Laundering (AML) software at Sampath Bank PLC, the bank has the distinction of being one of the major banks in Sri Lanka to be AML compliant.

This achievement places Sampath Bank as a pioneer in this field among its peers in the country, but is also likely to give the bank reputational advantage for correspondent banking markets outside Sri Lanka.

Sampath Bank chose 3i Infotech's AMLock AML software based on a rigorous selection and due diligence process initiated by a consortium of 13 banks in Sri Lanka and facilitated by the Sri Lanka Bankers Association (SLBA). 3i Infotech has acquired orders from other reputed banks in Sri Lanka for their AML software solution and currently has a fair presence in Sri Lanka.

AMLock from 3i Infotech is an award-winning, state-of-the-art software solution for banks and financial institutions, that meets the compliance needs for Anti Money Laundering and Financial Crime Detection.

VSIS launches Array Networks and HP Networking Product Stack

VSIS launched the Array Networking and HP Networking product stack at a grand launch at Cinnamon Grand recently.

Themed ‘Ubiquitous’, this event showcased the latest product offerings from HP and Array Networks. The technologies and products showcased gave an insight into how they have changed the Enterprise networking landscape and the business impact of these technologies.

“The growth of internet, cloud computing and the mobile devices has made computing anytime, anywhere a reality.

We wish to illustrate how the Array Network and HP Networking has enabled Ubiquitous computing” V S Information Systems Managing Director Priyanga Gunasekera, said.

On behalf of Array Networks, National Sales Manager Shibu Paul shared how the mobile boom and the invention of smart phones has created a new paradigm. He further explained how this could be leveraged by an enterprise in a secure and efficient manner using Desktop Direct, one of the leading virtual desktop paradigms invented by Array Networks. He further demonstrated how the Universal Access Controllers and Application Delivery Controllers improve the availability, performance and security of enterprise applications.

HP Regional Solutions Architect Nathan Tallack demonstrated how HP technology has transformed the Data Center networking. With the growing trends such as Server Virtualization and cloud computing HP Networking technologies would help businesses deliver more using the HP networking portfolio, he said.

HP Network wireless solution Consultant Tee Chong Lee briefed the audience how HP wireless networking could cater to the growing demands of data and video.

HP Sri Lanka Country Manager Shiran Perera also spoke. The event was attended by a large gathering of Information Technology professionals including many CIOs of reputed companies.
