'Divi Neguma, a resounding success'

'The Divi Neguma house to house survey is continuing very
successfully throughout the country', the Economic Development Ministry
Additional Secretary R R A K Ranawaka said.
"People are keen to obtain the services of the Economic Development
Ministry under the Divi Neguma Programme to grow and plan their home
gardens", he said. Officers are compiling data of the public to provide
seeds, plants, chicks, calves, fisheries equipment and other assistance
to develop home gardens and livelihood under the Divi Neguma programme,
he said.
"A parcel with 10 varieties of seeds will be provided to each house
holder who has a home garden", he said. A group consisting of four
officers cover around 10-15 house units to collect details each day", he
said. The Economic Development Ministry has drawn up plans to complete
the survey by March 31, he said.
