Thilina, KDCA President

Thilina Tennakoon who led Dharmaraja Cricket team in 1983 has been unanimously selected as the President of the Kandy District, Cricket Association for the 14th year in succession at a meeting held at the Asgiriya Stadium yesterday.

After leaving school, Thilina represented NCC at the Premier League tournaments for several years. Presently he is functioning as a Provincial Council member in the Central Province. He was a former Kandy District MP. Former Sylvester cricketer Roland Perera was selected as the Secretary of KDCA for the 4th year.

Roland has represented the Central Province cricket team for several years and captained the team of Kandy Youth Cricket Club. Roland has also represented Moors Sports Club, Colombo at the Sara Trophy tournament and also a level I cricket coach.

Chandra Mahawattage, former Prefect of Games at St. Sylvester's and later at played for St. Anthony's, was selected as the Treasurer for the second time. He is also an old boy of Dharmaraja College as well.
