All should protect women - Women's Bureau Directress

It is with favourable future prospects that this message is issued this day on which the National Women's Day Commemoration, which was initiated with a view to winning the rights of women is commemorated for the year 2012 worldwide under the theme of 'Let's Protect the Girl', Women's Bureau Directress in an International Women's Day message said.

The message: 'The girl is one who brings a host of fresh thoughts into our minds.

The flower-like girls, who jump, run and walk here and there leisurely and joyfully illuminate our home as well as the environment.

The girl today is the one who is there to take over the future and to whom it is to be handed over. She will contribute to progress of society by becoming a wife and a mother in future.

She will take part in the development of country through her knowledge and strength. She is a resource.

The future of the country will be more favourable if she is protected.

It is the duty of yours and mine to allow her grow freely. It is the duty of the entire society including parents, relatives and neighbours.

Hence, let us be alert and line up to identify corrupt elements that steal away her lovely childhood in the forms of blocking her safety, cheating and abusing her, and wipe them out of the society by giving them due punishments. Let us safeguard future of the girl.
