AFC junior league football from March 10

Asia Football Confederation (AFC) under 13 Girls' League Football Tournament will be held at Police Park from March 10 to 14. The tournament which is an event among various other programmes, has been organized by AFC Social Responsibility Department in parallel to the World Women's day celebrations.

The League Tournament for participants from Bhutan, India, Iran, Jordan, Palestine and Sri Lanka is coordinated and assisted by Tran Huong and Cynthia Carvalho from AFC. The chairperson of women's Football in Sri lanka Olivia Gamage along with RMU Mahindapala, Youth Development Director coordinates the programmes for FFSL.

Seminar for women

A one-day seminar with the theme "Women's empowerment through Football' for women leaders will be held tomorrow. Today and tomorrow there will be an awareness programme on healthy lifestyle for the local community and players from the six participating countries.
